A sweet and sugary fusion of rhubarb and ginger. The rhubarb aroma is the sweet kind of smell you want to eat, whilst the ginger gives it a mild but spicy kick. This blend is subtle when first lit and the aroma grows stronger after an hour or so; although it smells lovely even when not lit. This candle would be a lovely energizing and inspiring aroma for around the home, particularly in the kitchen or to cover other smells.
The Fragrance
This candle contains high quality natural blend of fragrance oils, natural perfumes and essential oils. For this style of candle the fragrance given off is subtle and gently fills a room. As you sit in the room at first you may not notice the smell, then you may after fifteen minutes begin to notice wafts of fragrance. If you leave the room and come back it is more noticeable again.
Environmental information:
This candle contains 100% natural plant wax from a sustainable plant source, the glass used for the candle holder had been made using recycled materials. They are suitable for vegans and the wicks are made from cotton.
No paraffin:
This candle does not contain any paraffin or petroleum products. Many candles today are paraffin based. Petroleum products in candles can cause a smokiness that can build up over time on ceilings. Paraffin is one of the last by products of petroleum extraction. Some of the soot given off by paraffin candles is the same as burning diesel fuel. So there are documented concerns about the health affects this may have.

I was very curious about the scent combinations of this candle. Rhubarb and Ginger are not aromas that I would have thought would go together. How very wrong I was! The scents really do work and make an excellent harmonious team.
The scent has a very homely feel to it and reminded me of my Grandma's home cooked sweet rhubarb, covered in sugar from when I was a youngster. (Many years ago!) The ginger aroma is subtle but has a very gentle zing and is not at all overpowering.
When first lit the candle scent is not immediately noticeable. It gently and subtlety fills the room over a period of time. If you leave the room and return a few minutes later, it’s then that you really notice the lovely sweet but gentle aroma.
The candles do not contain paraffin. So you don’t get the unclean, smokey burn that you can get with other candles.
The candles are quite small - about 2.5 inches tall. However, burn time is about 25 - 30 minutes. Perfect length of time for a lovely relaxing bath…..
I think this is one of my favourite candles. I am a bit of a candle-holic and love the way the scent of this is not overwhelming or sickly.
These make perfect gifts as they come in pretty little card boxes. (Easy to wrap too!)
