Naturense Refreshed Time incense is a specially created Japanese incense that’s designed to refresh your body, mind and spirit.

Naturense is made in Japan by Nippon Kodo and is an incense range designed for those who appreciate and live a natural lifestyle. The ingredients used are all high quality and the incense sticks have a pure bamboo core, which produces a clean burn and pure scent.

The Naturense Refreshed Time incense is fragranced with top notes of geranium, and base notes of ylang-ylang. Geranium essential oil is well known for its balancing properties, helping to instil calm and lift depression, whilst ylang-ylang is an uplifting and euphoric scent. These two floral and feminine scents combine perfectly together to produce an uplifting, refreshing and positive aroma.

This is a good choice of incense to burn in the morning, when you want to feel more refreshed, or in the afternoon if you experience a post-lunch dip.

More About Nippon Kodo Incense
The Japanese incense company, Nippon Kodo, was founded over four centuries ago and originally began by producing high quality incense for the Emperor of Japan. The company has continued to thrive ever since, now accounting for more than 50% of the entire incense industry in Japan. The company have a great philosophy about the importance of celebrating incense and recognise that, although many people simply love the ability of incense to fragrance a room, for others, their use comes down to spiritual and religious traditions. In fact, Nippon Kodo say that, through the production of their traditional Japanese incense they aim to, ‘cherish the ancient traditions and values’. The ingredients of Nippon Kodo incense are all high quality and are sourced from around the world. Experts help locate and harvest the rare aromatic woods, natural gums, resins and other ingredients used to make their incense. Once acquired, the ingredients are processed by hand, and by machine, in their eight factories in Japan and Hong Kong.

More About Japanese Incense
Japanese incense (speaking in general terms) is refined, pure, light smoke and rich in natural ingredients such as sandalwood. They don't usually have the thin wooden stick centre that is often found in Indian and other incense sticks. They are normally pure incense right the way through the stick. They are often designed with meditation in mind. Due to the high quality manufacturing processes the incense goes through they can be a little bit more expensive than other incense on the market.

Staff Review by Brett Almond

The powerful scent of geranium is the first smell that hits you out of the packet, with the floral notes of ylang ylang taking a second place. However, on burning, the ylang ylang is much more present (to my relief as ylang ylang is one of my favourite essential oils). The smoke smells much more balanced to me and has a refreshing floral tone. The ylang ylang is gentle, soft and floral while the geranium helps supply some of the green, fresh get-up-and-go-ness. Overall, a scent I like. I would say it is an ideal scent for a home as it is very positive and it is a smell that I believe many will enjoy.
