Om, or AUM, is both a sound and a symbol. Hindus regard OM as a sacred symbol of spiritual knowledge and the sound is used as a mantra in chanting and meditation.
The three sounds in Om / AUM are said to represent the states of waking, dreaming and sleeping. The silence that surrounds Om represents the absolute bliss state of Turiya, where the self recognises their identity with the supreme.
In the traditional written symbol of Om, the various curves each have their own meaning and relate to those in the sound of the word.
* The large lower curve represents the waking world.
* The upper left curve represents the state of deep sleep.
* The curve coming off the two above states represents the dream state.
* The open semi-circle at the top represents the infinite and the point is linked to the state of absolute consciousness (Turiya).

More About Peter Stone Jewellery
The Peter Stone Company purchases raw silver and produces their own true .925 sterling silver alloy in their own factory. All rings are cast to size and craftsmen cut and inlay each stone for a perfect fit. Every piece of jewellery created is hand polished not tumble polished, which leads to a high quality finish that is noticeably different.
Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.

Plesantly Surprised
I must admit I was not expecting the earrings to be of such excellent quality and weight as they were, even though that was how they were described in the details. I am always apprehensive of how things are described, but I was pleasantly pleased, and proven wrong, that they are beautifully crafted and good thick silver. And true to their word they were received the next day after placing the order.
