Lead Crystal Star with Yellow Cascade

There are five clear and three golden yellow coloured crystal discs above the crystal star. These are also coloured lead crystal and they also give refractive reflections from sunlight etc. 

Altogether this makes for a lovely starry sunny crystal ornament to hang wherever you wish so it catches the light.

When many of us in the west think of the star as a symbol the first one that comes to mind is the star that announced to the wise men the birth of Jesus Christ. As such we connect the star with hope and prophecy and we begin its association through countless civilisations with mysticism, cosmic forces and universal mystery. More About Lead Crystal
Lead crystals (sometimes referred to as “crystal” or “leaded glass”) reflect light in wondrous ways, often creating rainbows and sparkles on the wall when the light hits them just right. They are great for hanging in windows or anywhere the light can get to them. Many hang them up to bring more light into their lives and make their surroundings magical. Hanging crystals such as these are termed 'bright objects' in feng shui bringing positive energy into a house and can be hung in spaces that need "energising".

Lead crystal is manufactured by adding lead oxide to molten glass. It is then machine cut into shapes. The higher the lead content the greater the “refractive index”, or in other words, the greater the sparkle. As the lead content goes up it becomes harder to form the crystal and therefore the price for higher lead content also tends to be higher. The maximum lead content is about 35%. The majority of our hanging lead crystals contain 30% PbO, in comparison for example, Swarovski Chandelier crystals are 32% PbO.

More About the Symbolism of the Colour Yellow
Yellow, with its bright and mood-lifting hue, is typically associated with clarity, happiness and communication. It's a vibrant colour, reflecting the shade of the sun - a source of warmth, vitality and light, rather than darkness. Within the chakra system, yellow represents the solar plexus area. 

In Buddhism, the colour yellow is treated with high regard, as the robes worn by Buddhist monks are radiant saffron yellow. Gautama Buddha chose the robe colour to represent a symbol of humility and separation from materialistic society. 

In magic, yellow represents intellectual achievement, travel, moving house and career mindedness, and is linked to the planet Mercury. 

But yellow does have some negative associations. Our relation to yellow can easily be thrown off balance, as it's also related to fears, nervousness and anxiety. This can be rectified by addressing the negative issues - facing fears, dealing with anxiety and nerves - and can be helped by rebalancing the chakras, doing reiki or other forms of healing.
