The cross with the bottom point longer than the rest, is seen by Christians as a symbol of great power and reverence. Christians believe Jesus Christ to be the son of God, yet he was raised on earth by Jesus and Mary. He taught people about heaven and eternal life, how there was nothing to fear in life and death, and that we should love one another and treat everyone with the same respect. As his reputation grew, word reached the Romans, and in the end Pontius Pilate sentenced Jesus to be crucified. Crucifixion is a long and painful death, yet Jesus chose to give himself up to the Roman soldiers, even though he had seen into his own future.

In this act the crucifix can be seen as a symbol of ultimate faith. Jesus knew he would die but he knew that that was what must happen for the greater good of the people. So he was following the will of God. People from many walks of life now wear crucifixes to show their faith, and to symbolise their belief that through true sacrifice and listening to the higher voice inside themselves they can attain freedom, spiritual nourishment and beauty in their lives.

Peter Koslowski had been working on merchant ships since 1983 while living in Sri Lanka and was fortunate to be exposed to an abundance of precious stones and he began to purchase and trade them, as well as silver. During this period he also studied gemology and jewellery making in a number of countries. This then lead to the founding of the Peter Stone Company in 1992 in Bangkok, Thailand, where he still resides.

    Very Satisfied

Posted by Lee, Wrexham on 12th Jan 2005

After joining the local paranormal group I was looking for a suitable pendant to bolster my protection whilst on vigils. To me, the cross has always been symbolic of protection and when I found this one with amethyst inset I was particularly attracted to it because of amethyst's properties of transmuting negative energies and helping to maintain calmness! The cross itself looks very pretty but still solid, a nice weight and looks great on the snake chain that I also purchased from here. One satisfied customer that managed to remain quite calm on the first vigil! Thank you!
