Agnitite was named for Agni, the Vedic deity of fire. Agni was considered to be the supreme source of spiritual Light, life force and even immorality. Agnitite is said to enhance intuition, healing, strength of will and the awareness of one's shared consciousness with that of the world.

Agnitite is a variety of Quartz from an island off the coast of Africa. It has a silky translucence, and some pieces are streaked with reddish Hematite.
Mystic Lore: Intuitive sources say that Agnitite awakens the latent spiritual fire of transformation in the cells, creating inner experiences of warmth through-out the body, leading to expansion of consciousness, activation of dormant psychic capacities & detoxification of one's energy fields.
